Where to Find EBTD Online: Connecting Teachers and Leaders Across Bangladesh (BD)

At Evidence Based Teacher Development (EBTD), our mission is simple: to turn global educational research into everyday classroom practice in Bangladesh. To support teachers, leaders, and schools across the country, we publish resources in multiple formats and across several platforms—so educators can learn in the way that best fits their time, context, and professional goals.

This article gives a clear overview of where you can follow EBTD online, what you can expect from each platform, and why we’ve chosen to be present on some sites but not others.

Facebook: Our Main Community Hub
Facebook remains one of the most widely used platforms in Bangladesh, particularly among teachers. We use it to share updates, free classroom tools, research explainers, event announcements, and training news. If you want quick updates from EBTD in an accessible format, Facebook is the place to start.

LinkedIn: Professional Learning and Leadership Development
LinkedIn is where we connect with school leaders, policymakers, international partners, and educators interested in evidence-based professional development. We share research summaries, leadership insights, implementation guidance, and updates on our NPQ-aligned coaching work. It’s also where many of our longer-form thought pieces are published.

YouTube: Evidence-Based Teaching in Video
Our YouTube channel hosts accessible, research-driven videos designed for teachers and leaders in Bangladesh. These include explainer videos from our Research Hub (such as the EBTD Guide to Memory series), training previews, and interviews from the EBTD Teacher Voices project. Every video uses our responsive design and bilingual English–Bangla metadata to reach more educators across the country.

Bluesky: Our Alternative to X (Twitter)
EBTD has made a deliberate decision not to use X (formerly Twitter). We value evidence, professionalism, and safe online spaces; however, the platform’s increasingly unmoderated content and misinformation challenges do not align with our organisational values.

Instead, we have chosen Bluesky—a platform focused on integrity, healthier community standards, and more meaningful interactions. This allows us to share research insights without the noise and conflict often seen elsewhere.

Substack: Long-Form Blogs & Research Commentary
We are trialling Substack as an additional home for selected EBTD blogs. The aim is to reach global educators, researchers, and development partners who prefer long-form, email-delivered writing. Over time, we will evaluate how educators in Bangladesh and abroad engage with these posts to decide whether to expand its use.

Podcasts: Teacher and Leadership Voices from Bangladesh

Spotify: Listen on Spotify

Apple Podcasts: Listen on Apple Podcasts

YouTube Music: Listen on YouTube Music

Amazon Music: Listen on Amazon Music

Our podcast series—EBTD Teacher Voices—shares real stories from Bangladeshi educators, along with short Research Bites episodes that turn global evidence into practical, context-specific strategies. These platforms help us reach teachers who prefer audio learning.

Why We Use Multiple Platforms

Teachers and leaders learn in different ways. Some prefer short updates, others want video explanations, and many enjoy reading longer research reflections on the move. Our multi-platform approach ensures that educators across Bangladesh (BD) can access professional development in whatever format suits them best.

At the same time, we remain guided by our values: evidence, professionalism, and community. These values shape not only what we publish, but where we choose to publish it.

What’s Next?

As EBTD continues to grow, we will keep refining how we share our resources, ensuring that every platform supports our wider mission: Helping teachers become confident leaders who lift learning, build inclusive cultures, and drive long-term school improvement in Bangladesh.
