Integrated Teacher Development Award – EBTD Bangladesh

Integrated Teacher Development Award — Mastering Evidence-Based Pedagogy

Complete six interconnected modules to become a certified expert in modern, evidence-based teaching for Bangladesh (BD).

The Integrated Teacher Development Award is the culmination of six evidence-based modules that transform good teachers into outstanding practitioners. By completing AI in Teaching, Metacognition & Self-Regulated Learning, Mind to Memory, Improving Behaviour, Effective Assessment & Feedback, and Curriculum Design, you build the knowledge and routines to meet diverse learner needs and lead innovation in your school. Every module is designed using the EBTD Deliberate Practice Model (DEFINE – MODEL – PRACTISE – REFINE – REFLECT), so the focus is always on changing what you do tomorrow, not just what you know today.

What to expect

Six interconnected modules. Explore AI-powered teaching, metacognitive strategies, memory science, behaviour, assessment & feedback, and curriculum design. Each module combines a focused workshop with structured online learning, using deliberate practice cycles so you can apply ideas immediately in your classroom.

Deliberate practice as the golden thread. In every module you will define one small change, see it modelled, practise it safely, refine it with feedback and reflect on its impact in your classroom. This shared structure runs across the whole Award, making it easier to build powerful, lasting habits.

Holistic learning journey. The modules are designed to work together: memory and metacognition strengthen assessment; effective behaviour creates conditions for retrieval and personalised feedback; AI frees time to design a coherent curriculum. Completing all six helps you integrate these elements into a cohesive, research-informed approach.

Award recognition. On successful completion you receive the Integrated Teacher Development Award certificate — recognising your commitment to evidence-based teaching and your capacity to drive improvement across your school.

How you will learn — the EBTD Deliberate Practice Model

All six modules in the Award are built on the EBTD Deliberate Practice Model, a simple five-step cycle that helps teachers change daily practice in real Bangladeshi classrooms:

DEFINE → MODEL → PRACTISE → REFINE → REFLECT

  • DEFINE: In each module you choose one small, high-leverage change (for example, a new questioning routine, a retrieval starter, or a low-marking feedback approach).
  • MODEL: You see that change broken down and modelled clearly, using realistic Bangladeshi examples and resources.
  • PRACTISE: You rehearse the new routine in short, low-stakes drills with colleagues, not just talk about it.
  • REFINE: You receive tiny, specific pieces of feedback and immediately try again so the new habit becomes smoother.
  • REFLECT: You use the routine in your classroom, then capture what worked, what changed for pupils and what to adjust next time.

This shared structure means that whether you are working on memory, behaviour, assessment, curriculum or AI, the way you learn is consistent and practical. Over the full Award, these repeated cycles build confidence and long-term professional habits.

Key questions

  • How would your teaching change if you understood not just what to teach, but how pupils learn best?
  • Are you ready to design a curriculum that aligns with memory science, behaviour principles and modern technology?
  • What impact could you have on pupils’ outcomes by combining AI, metacognition, assessment and curriculum design in your practice?
  • How might repeating the same deliberate practice cycle across six modules transform your day-to-day habits?

How this programme will change practice

The Award equips you to plan, teach and assess more effectively. You’ll learn to harness AI to reduce workload and personalise learning; teach metacognition to foster independence; apply cognitive science to strengthen memory; manage behaviour proactively; deliver purposeful assessment and feedback; and design a coherent, knowledge-rich curriculum.

Because every module uses the same deliberate practice cycle, these approaches do not sit in isolation. They connect into a single, evidence-informed way of working that you can sustain over time. You’ll become a confident, reflective practitioner ready to lead evidence-informed change within your classroom and, over time, across your school.
