Our Story & Founder’s Journey

The Story Behind EBTD

Evidence-Based Teacher Development (EBTD) was founded with one clear mission: to give teachers and school leaders in Bangladesh access to the very best professional development, rooted in research and proven to raise student outcomes.

A Message from Our Founder

“Throughout my career, I have seen how powerful teaching, supported by evidence, can change lives. But I have also seen how too often, teachers are asked to rely on outdated training, opinions, or one-off workshops that don’t translate into long-term impact. I founded EBTD to close this gap—bringing world-class research and practical strategies directly to the teachers and leaders of Bangladesh.”
Leon Walker, Founder of EBTD
