College results influence university entry. University pathways affect employment and social mobility. Few systems place such heavy weight on timed, high-stakes examinations.\r\n      <\/p>\r\n      <p>\r\n        Yet most schools still focus almost entirely on content coverage and memorisation.\r\n        Recent international research suggests this is not enough.\r\n      <\/p>\r\n    <\/div>\r\n  <\/a>\r\n\r\n  <!-- Section Card: Research -->\r\n  <a href=\"#\" class=\"ebtd-card\">\r\n    <div class=\"ebtd-card-inner\">\r\n      <h2>What GCSE research tells us<\/h2>\r\n      <p>\r\n        A 2025 study by Ofqual in England analysed 181 GCSE exam papers and found clear evidence that \r\n        time pressure \u2014 not just subject knowledge \u2014 was influencing student outcomes.\r\n      <\/p>\r\n      <p>\r\n        In some subjects, over half of students did not reach the final question. Students with special educational needs and disadvantaged backgrounds were the most affected. In several cases, time pressure reduced scores by up to 7% \u2014 enough to shift final grades.\r\n      <\/p>\r\n      <p>\r\n        This has direct relevance for Bangladesh. Our students face similar high-pressure conditions,\r\n        often with larger class sizes, less individual support, and stronger social consequences attached to performance.\r\n      <\/p>\r\n      <p>\r\n        If schools want fairer outcomes, exam time management must be taught explicitly, not left to chance.\r\n      <\/p>\r\n    <\/div>\r\n  <\/a>\r\n\r\n  <!-- Section Card: Why Time Management is Teachable -->\r\n  <a href=\"#\" class=\"ebtd-card\">\r\n    <div class=\"ebtd-card-inner\">\r\n      <h2>Time management is not \u201cnatural\u201d \u2014 it is teachable<\/h2>\r\n      <p>\r\n        Many teachers assume that speed improves automatically with more practice exams.\r\n        But examination speed is not just about writing faster.\r\n      <\/p>\r\n      <p>\r\n        It involves decision-making, prioritisation, emotional control, and cognitive stamina.\r\n        Students who manage time well are not necessarily more intelligent. They are more strategic.\r\n      <\/p>\r\n      <p>\r\n        Without structured teaching, only the most confident, coached, or privileged students gain these skills. That widens gaps rather than closing them.\r\n      <\/p>\r\n    <\/div>\r\n  <\/a>\r\n\r\n  <!-- Section Title -->\r\n  <h2 style=\"margin:2.5rem 0 1rem;\">Five evidence-informed strategies for Bangladeshi classrooms<\/h2>\r\n\r\n  <!-- Strategy Cards -->\r\n  <div class=\"ebtd-grid\">\r\n\r\n    <a href=\"#\" class=\"ebtd-card\">\r\n      <div class=\"ebtd-card-inner\">\r\n        <h3>1. Build time awareness into lessons<\/h3>\r\n        <p>Most students do not truly understand how long 2 minutes feels under pressure.<\/p>\r\n        <ul>\r\n          <li>Use a visible timer during practice<\/li>\r\n          <li>Set strict time blocks (e.g. 12 minutes for 5 questions)<\/li>\r\n          <li>Students write start and finish times<\/li>\r\n          <li>Reflect on time lost and patterns<\/li>\r\n        <\/ul>\r\n        <p>Over time, students develop internal time awareness \u2014 a core exam skill.<\/p>\r\n      <\/div>\r\n    <\/a>\r\n\r\n    <a href=\"#\" class=\"ebtd-card\">\r\n      <div class=\"ebtd-card-inner\">\r\n        <h3>2.
